The Beast in Me pits Matthew Rhys against Claire Danes. He's a bash developer accused of killing his wife whose body has never been found. She's a high strung writer grieving the death of her young son and the dissolving of his marriage. Rhys moves next door and the two begin a lethal game of cat and mouse. The usual question of who's the cat and who's the mouse rarely gets this good or shocking. Nice supporting turns include Brittany Snow and Jonathan Banks. TV rarely pulls off he kind of thrills in The Beast in Me --- an extraordinary thriller.
