Comedy with Melissa McCarthy, Octavia Spencer, and Jason Bateman. Melissa plays her usual lovable klutz, in this story, given a secret formula by childhood friend Octavia Spencer that gives her superpowers to fight crime. The plot is so so, and the action gets off to a very slow start. Watching at home, I imagine many will turn off in the first twenty minutes or so. Later in the story, Jason Bateman turns up as a bad guy who thanks to eating crab during a atmospheric event that turns bad guys into supervillians, turns him into a supervillian with crab claws for hands. Crab man and Melissa begin a romance that provides the chuckles and might have made a decent Saturday Night Live ten minute comedy sketch. An Hour and a half of this is way too much. Skip it.
