10 Great Movies from 2015... Plus a Few Others

Here’s what I liked at the movies in 2015:

• Brooklyn - Irish immigrant must choose between life and love in America or in her home country. Delightful and satisfying.
• Spotlight - THE BOSTON GLOBE investigative team shines a light on a global problem. A great ensemble representing old school journalism at its best.
• Inside/Out - Pixar explores a child’s emotions in a most creative story.
• Carol - Beautifully recreates the 1950’s in a story of emotional longing and connection.
• Room - Thrilling story of escape and aftermath.
• The Martian - Matt Damon survives, when left behind on Mars.
• Mr. Holmes - Ian McKellen as Sherlock Holmes in old age
• Ex-Machina - Sexy, creepy sci-fi
• Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - High school kids come of age.
• Bridge of Spies - True life spy thriller for grown ups.

Also worth remembering: Mission: Impossible -  Rogue Nation, Black Mass, Trainwreck, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Creed, Trainwreck, Sicario, Love & Mercy, and Creed.
