Nightcrawler Review - 3½ Stars

Don’t get hung up on the specifics of “Nightcrawler”.  Jake Gyllenhaal plays a midnight to dawn blood and guts cameraman who finds a station willing to run the most horrific crime footage for money.  Jake meets his match in Rene Russo an ambitious producer with a blood thirst for success  The material shown on the local newscast goes way beyond reality but that’s not the point. Really “Nightcrawler” is a horror movie about success and ethics.  Jake Gyllenhaal gives a jaw dropping performance.  This one’s a stunner. DoeS it deliver what it promises?  Jaw dropping drama.  Is it entertaining?  Like watching a car crash.  Is it worth the price of admission?  Another must see.
