Wanderlust Review - 3 Stars

“Wanderlust” has some of the funniest and shocking dialog of the year surrounding a run of the mill plot about a couple snagged by the great recession.  Paul Rudd and jenifer Anniston lose their jobs and their expensive New York micro loft, so they travel to Atlanta and a hilarious encounter with Paul’s rageaholic brother.  Unable to stand that situation, the two return to a commune they discovered on the trip down.  Of course the place holds dozens of outrageous characters include group leader Justin Theroux and the founder played by a hilarious Alan Alda.  Things go from bad to worse particularly involving the concept of free love, which tempts both Paul and Jennifer.  “Wanderlust” explores the flip side of last year’s frightening thriller “Martha marcy May Marlene”—if you can imagine.   I had great fun and many laughs during the screening of “Wanderlust”, a better than expected fun time. Does it deliver what it promises?  Economic comedy disaster.  Is it entertaining?  Very funny.  Is it worth the price of admission?  Great for a laugh.
