The Only Living Pickpocket in New York - 4 Stars - October 30, 2026 - THEATERS

John Turturro plays an old school guys in a new school world.  An aging pickpocket, he scrounges what he can, regularly visiting his long-time fence Steve Buscemi, and outfoxing aging police detective Giancarlo Esposite.  The old school cast of The Only Living Pickpocket in New York give the story a great 1970's gritty feel.  The world grows darker when our hero picks the wrong pocket, that belonging to young crime family prince Will Price.  Using new age tools, the kid quickly finds our man's weak spot, his desperately ill younger wife.  Can the old guy outsmart the new generation?  The answer is yes and no, leading to a great ending of both highs and lows.  The Only Living Pickpocket in New York answers the cry for the kind of movie they used to make.  Rest easy, they made this one.
