Earth is disintegrating. Those who can board spaceships for a new planet. George Clooney stays behind in the artic to spend his final days with a real or imagined little girl. They journey to a further outpost to make contact with a ship unknowingly barreling toward the doomed Earth. A slow build up leads to an unsatisfying plot twist. Clooney's always interesting. He can't quite save the back half of this bummer.
