Insidious: Chapter 2 Review - 2 Stars

A follow-up to an earlier successful horror flick about a family whose son connects to the spirit world with dire results.  In chapter one, Patrick Wilson goes to the other side to retrieve his son.  IN Chapter Two it appears he’s brought something or some one back with him.  “Insidious: Chapter 2” excels at loud noises, chilling apparitions in the background, and clues found in dark creepy places like abandoned hospitals.  With Rose Byrne as a concerned wife and Barbara Hershey as a concerned grandmother and a nice cast of character actors who tie this thing together.  The PG 13 rating should tell you that the scares are followed by laughter and the usual expected sequel set up for Chapter 3.   Does it deliver what it promises?  Fright night.  Is it entertaining?  Actually kind of fun even if far from great.  Is it worth the price of admission?  For kids looking to get out of the house.
