V/H/S Review - 1 Star

V/H/S stands for the pre digital form of video tape and also for Violent Horror Stories.   This movie goes for the old “found footage” gag—in this instance, a bunch of guys break into a house on a mission to steal a certain video tape—they start watching the dozens of tapes stacked in a back room and we see a collection of short stories—including an especially grizzly tale of college guys picking up a couple of girls in a bar and taking them back to a motel room, where the weirdest of the two turns out to enjoy biting a little too much.  On we go to the monster in the wilderness, the motel decapitation, the paranoia parable, and a grand finale between a group of guys and a speeding train.  “V/H/S” may give you a headache because of the shaky grainy footage.  It’s quite violent and features a lot of blood and female nudity.   Some will love but frankly I pass.  Does it deliver what it promises?  “Found” footage horror stories.  Is it entertaining?  Uh, no.  Is it worth the price of admission?  Cheap thrills.
