Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Review - 2.5 Stars

“Abraham Lincoln:  Vampire Hunter” hums along like a comic book—not surprising since that is the medium in which this story began.   The movie dishes up a mash of history and “Twilight” lore.  Seems the Civil War wasn’t the only thing Abe fought.  The mix of history and the elements we know about Lincoln with the fantasy of vampires actually works.   It seems vampires have been trying to take over America since the Revolution.  And who knew they joined the Confederacy during the Civil War?   Abe gets involved to avenge the death of his mother—a story told in credible terms.  Benjamin Walker feels right as Abe and the special effects give the proceedings  snap.  The idea sounds like a joke but the result is great fun to watch.  Just don’t take any of it seriously.  Does it deliver what it promises?  3D vampire/history mash up. Is it entertaining?  Very fun.  Is it worth the price of admission?  Something different.
