American Sniper Tops Box Office Again
“American Sniper” tops the box office again, and has made over $200 Million since opening day. It feels like “The Hurt Locker,” in telling the story off Chris Kyle, a Navy Seal thought to be the most prolific sniper of modern time. The surprise success says a lot about Bradley Cooper as an actor and Clint Eastwood as a director. I think it also appeals to mid-life males, who don’t go to the movies a lot. “American Sniper” might upset the Oscar race this year. At least it will be interesting to see what develops.
Top Three Movies (January 23, 2015)
1. American Sniper - $64 Million
2. The Boy Next Door - $15 Million
3. Paddington - $12 Million
