Gravity Review - 4 Stars

“Gravity” tells the story of a rookie space astronaut — played by Sandra Bullock –unexpectedly hit by space debris and hurtled into space.  George Clooney plays a more experience astronaut intent on saving her.  That bare bones plot plays out against some of the most eye-popping special effects ever assembled for a movie.  “Gravity”s combination of music, effects, and story elevate it to a new level of movie making.  I believe it makes the best use of technology since “Avatar”.  This package comes in a tightly packed 90 minutes.   “Gravity” moves into the same league as “2001” “E.T.” and “Apollo 13”.  Did I mention the neat touch of using Ed Harris’ voice for Houston command central?  Yeah, well consider that.  “Gravity” rates 4 stars as one of our time’s most important movies.  Does it deliver what it promises?  A stunner.  Is it entertaining?  completely compelling.  Is it worth the price of admission?  A must see.
