Playing for Keeps Review - 1 Star

Gerard Butler plays an over the hill soccer star living near his ex wife Jessica Biel and son.  The kid’s soccer team needs a coach, so Gerard steps in and fires up a group of excitable soccer moms including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Uma Thurman, and Judy Greer, all of whom land in his bed.   Butler, of course, really wants to reunite with Jessica Biel but the other women keep getting in his way.  At one point, I began to think “Playing for Keeps” would run on forever.  Gerard Butler makes a lot of movies where he stars as a gruff womanizer with a good heart.  Maybe he should try for something different.  Does it deliver what it promises?  By the numbers mid life crisis comedy.  Is it entertaining?  Predictable.  Is it worth the price of admission?  Save your money.
