Pitch Perfect Review - 2½ Stars

“Pitch Perfect” pokes fun at a cappella singing and I think the television hit “Glee” as well.  Anna Kendrick begins her college career with a love of alternative and indie music, so when the preppy a capella choir mistress comes calling, Anna turns up her nose but eventually joins.  The movie begins with a concert competition that takes a very funny embarrassing turn setting up the comedy to come.  Rising star Rebel Wilson (remember she played the roommate in “Bridesmaids” and the bride in “Bachelorette”) joins the group and adds to the fun.  “Pitch Perfect” dishes out funny moments—in fact often better than you expect.  Does it deliver what it promises?  This is a spoof of “Glee”.  Is it entertaining?  A couple of vomit scenes made me laugh very very long and hard.  Is it worth the price of admission?  Predictable comedy.
